sufficiency

Oh my goodness....in just about a month I will be embarking upon this faith journey that the Lord is leading me on-serving as a volunteer English teacher to beautiful Ethiopian students! It's hard to wrap my mind around this reality, knowing that I have earnestly been praying and looking forward to this opportunity and now it is almost here. A wide array of emotions encompass my thoughts these days, knowing how difficult it will be to say goodbye to those I love and care for, but all the while pure excitement for what the Lord has in store for me while I am in Ethiopia.

I want to thank those of you who have made this experience possible for me, for without your financial contributions and prayers, none of this would be possible. Please know that the role you play is just as instrumental as mine!

This past Sunday at church a passage from 2 Corinthians was read that reminded me of this foundational truth: His grace is sufficient. The verse (2 Corinthians 12:9) reads, "'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me." No matter the circumstance, we are told that His grace is sufficient. What an encouragement and a blessing to cling to, whatever phase in life we find ourselves in. May we look to Him for the blessings of each day and hold firm that His grace is sufficient!

I'll post another update before I fly out. Thank you for your prayers and support!

Because of His grace,
Elizabeth
